"Captain's log," intoned the Chameloid in the center chair. "After the return of our people from the past, First Cherithan Ru has apologized on behalf of the Talbeethian Guard. The contents of her formal apology accompany this log but, suffice to say," Kodak leaned back in his seat, "I think she truly feels bad about the incident with our people. I truly believe she could not predict the actions of her former Chief Technologist, which sent our people back in time," the Captain explained, "but hopefully the whole shebang has helped Ru and her people to guard action such things happening again in the future."

"As means of apology, the First Cherithan gave us an ample supply of their finest whiskey. The stuff really kicks," Kodak smiled softly, recalling the way the alcohol had forced open his nose and hit like a gut punch on his first sip. "I don't know that it really makes up for what we went through but it's a nice gesture all the same. We've left Talbeethia with an open invite to return when we run dry..." he smirked, "or when we just want to resume relations. I anticipate Starfleet may want to send out a Second Contact team to continue the relationship we began with this last mission."

"With everyone safely returned to the present," Kodak looked at the forward viewscreen, which depicted the Sojo's current pullaway from Talbeethia, "we are setting course for our next stop: there's a stellar nursery our science team very much wants to check out. Can't say it excites me personally -- if you've seen one pregnant nebula, you've seen them all," he smirked again, "but it will be a chance for everyone to settle back in before our next big mission begins...whatever Starfleet deems that to be, of course. Until we get new orders, though, we'll have some time on our hands. Which is fine because I have a lot of paperwork to catch up on."

"End log," the Captain said, listening for the audible chirp that signaled the recording had stopped. "Well Number One," Kodak turned to eye his First Officer, "I shall leave the Bridge in your tender care. Try not to get us zapped into an alternate universe or anything while I'm writing reports," he winked at t'Nai before rising from his chair. "And uh...don't tell Debbie but I may have snagged a bottle of what whiskey for myself. Let me know if you want some," he smiled before slipping across the Bridge and into his Ready Room.
