"Down?" The call rang out as a question and rippled down the crewman present, changing to a confirming, "Down." With that, Bailey Good took a deep and angsted breath as she pulled off her air mask. She let it drop to the corridor floor, clattering. Her razor-cut chin length hair was sweaty and lank while she was poised in the floor foot over foot walk of the "Security Creep-up," her phaser poised with both hands.
The door to the Secondary Computer Control was off its guides and trying to close on a prone body. The body wasn't Starfleet- they wore what appeared to be leather and furs, the body splayed on their back. Bailey looked through the door arch. Bailey nudged the body with the foot and then pointed her phaser at it- a him, it turned out to be a him. He was unresponsive.
Bailey pressed her commbadge on the black tactical vest she'd donned in a running jog to the location. "Good to Sickbay. Medical emergency, Deck five, Secondary Computer Control. Unresponsive Kazon. Crew casualties." She double-tapped her commbadge. "Alright secure the area," she said to her team- a team of three who, up until a few minutes ago, been cataloguing the Armory and cleaning the Brig.
The two Operations yeomans she'd frogmarched into Security service in the moment looked at her with an air of nervousness- one clutched and unclutched the handle of his phaser from the half-cover of an arch. The other thought he was playing fucking hero, talking in ridiculous jargon. It was the high of surviving- but not exactly winning. That realization came later. "Can we go, Ma'am?" The twitchy crewman asked.
Bailey declined as she holstered her weapon. "Negative. Until we're off red alert, I need you here." Unvoiced, she wasn't even sure where Chief Maritz was. He'd been called to some kind of Away Mission, but she knew little else. She wanted to tap her badge and ask for his location but she held off. Instead when she touched her badge again, she said. "Security, Bridge. Location deck five, auxiliary computer control. Site secure. Casualties reported to Sickbay., We have downed Kazons in here."
Bailey was momentarily distracted as her orders were carried out- containment fields snapped to life with a whiff of ozone, isolating the door on either side between to corridor arches. Security and medical personnel could just walk through but anyone else might have a rough time of it. Good ventured deeper inside the control room. She was no engineer but she saw the sight of what was probably weapons fire. She raised a manicured eyebrow. That wasn't going to just buff out, she noted, of a damaged console screen.
