| Hobbies & Interests | One of Jake's hobbies involves reading, especially but not limited to fictional detective stories, including Sherlock Holmes and Mike Hammer for instance. He also likes historical fiction, especially about the US Civil War. Working security, it's important that he's able to defend himself, to this end, he has studied various forms of martial arts, including Judo, Kung Fu, Klingon Martial Arts and some Vulcan techniques. While not an 'expect' at any of them, he is proficient enough to be able to disable an opponent with any technique. H Works out frequently, martial arts and weapon training. His parents are not in the best of health, so he is always fearful of getting that message that either one, or both, have passed away. Being an only child, he never had the opportunity to bond with a brother or sister, so the few fiends he's had have been childhood friends, many of them he is still in touch with. |
History
| Personal History | Born in Bismark, North Dakota to Michael and Brandy Peters, an only child. His parents didn't think their could conceive, but when he was born, they called him their "miracle baby". Did well in school, always kept his grades above B+. Played sports all through his school years, from primary school to college. When he joined Starfleet Academy, he was heavily recruited to play many sports. He had chosen Security as his Major and Command as his minor. His academy years were hard, but also educational. Many of his instructors knew his family ties, and his family also helped him with his studies. He graduated in the top 10 of his class. |
Service Record
| Service Record | Graduated from the Academy with honors. He had his choice of assignments. First posting was the USS Fairbanks, as a Security Officer. His department head took him under his wing. While on the Fairbanks, he received many commendations and promotions opportunities. Next assignment was the USS Lincoln, as Assistant Security Chief. Again, his spotless record earned him commendations and a Medal Of Honor that was given after he led a team to rescue hostages taken by terrorists. After 3 years on the Lincoln, the Security/Tactical position opened up on the Sojourner. He applied and was accepted. |
