| Personal History | Initially born in New Annesburg on Mars in 2375, where his parents had a holodeck business, he spent his later teenage and early twenties on Ganymede after the First Contact Massacre on April 5, 2385. The first ten years on Mars were a happy time for Jayden Booth, who had been raised on stories about Starfleet from an early age, compliments of his maternal grandfather, who had served. Both his parents ran the local holodeck center in downtown New Annesburg and had been very encouraging of whatever aspirations Jayden had (as long as he completed schooling). His world was turned upside down on his tenth birthday when synths orchestrated a full-on attack on the red planet. Vessels tasked to rescue Romulans were destroyed, and the planetary defense grid was turned on the inhabitants - with the Utopia Planitia Ship Yards and New Annesburg destroyed. Yet, Jayden and his family survived and were evacuated off-world. Resettling in Ganymede City, Ganymede, Jayden Booth found a new lease of life in high school. Academically, he was no slouch. Jayden was dux at his local high school and captain of the men’s volleyball team. He worked in the mines with his father and grandfather when not at school. Upon graduating high school, he initially wanted to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and join Starfleet. But once more, his parents urged him to finish university first. University meant going off-world once more, this time going to Earth’s moon and being accepted into the New Berlin University and majoring in English and Physical Education. Upon finishing university, he went off-world and never looked back. He enrolled in the Starfleet non-commissioned officer training program aboard Remembrance Station - itself commissioned in Mars low orbit back in 2395 - and opted for security training. USS Sojourner is to be his first assignment. |
