Personality & Traits

General Overview Sharrina is a direct mixture of her two parents though she does lean toward her mother's side a bit. She tends toward a calm approach to most situations, though given the right provocation, her Klingon blood can be stirred. However, she is not as volatile as half-breeds have tended to be over the years. She seems rather well-balanced, a credit, no doubt, to her parents and the way they both took part in her raising.
Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths:
Honorable
Stronger and more durable than full Human
Dedicated

Weaknesses:
Strong-willed
Doesn't abide stupidity
Tends to speak too forwardly
Ambitions Sharrina would like to one day command her own ship as her father before her. She hopes to be even half the captain he is, though she strives to surpass him.
Hobbies & Interests Mock combat, Klingon Opera, New languages, orbital skydiving, anything dangerous ;)

Personal History Sharrina was born on her mother's ship the FireRider to Mora of the House of Koroth and Richard Kyle Blackstone, a Starfleet Captain during one of the few times he took leave. Because they both lived in different worlds and neither could change for the other, they agreed to share custody of their daughter and raise her equally exposed to both cultures. And when Richard got leave, he spent it with Mora and Sharrina, usually on a planet that was neither completely Klingon nor Human.

Every year, she would spend half the year with Mora and the other half with Richard. Each taught her their aspects of her combined heritage and to respect both. From her father, she learned the Native American way. She learned to honor spirituality and to meditate and find center and calm. She learned how to Spirit Walk and to listen to her Guide. From her mother, she learned the arts of war and combat. She learned an appreciation for all things Klingon and that she was just as much Klingon as any full-blood. From Mora's crew, she learned the give and take of both bladed and verbal combat. They sharpened her skills and her wits.

But when she turned 18, her parents gave her the choice of what she would do with her life. Neither would tell her what they wanted because they wanted it to be her choice since she was the one who would have to live with it. She chose Starfleet, and her father recommended her to the Academy. There she made friends she would cherish for the rest of her life. She also learned to appreciate the lessons of diversity her parents had taught her as each of these people was very different than those she'd grown up with. Her favorite quickly became the felinoids, who seemed capable of giving as good as any Klingon when it came to verbal combat.

She graduated the Academy with honors, to no surprise of her parents. They both were proud of her but expected no less of their daughter. She was then sent to serve aboard the USS StarChaser for the five-year duration of her time as an Ensign, at which time she was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and transferred to the USS Altair-C. Here she served for ten years, at the end of which time, she was again promoted to Lieutenant and recommended for the two-year Advanced Tactical Training course on Syria Planum by her captain. She completed that in the top 5% of her class and was assigned to the USS Essex. After three years, she was again transferred to the USS Sojourner. While she will be far away from her family, she looks forward to the new challenges that this assignment will bring.
