She is constantly looking for areas to improve her knowledge, and has an excellent divide between her work life and social life, not letting one burden the other. Having lived on Earth for many years, she has grown to appreciate alien culture and customs, and adapts to new situations easily, while maintaining her own customs and heritage of Cait close to her heart. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: - Strong people skills, received glowing feedback for her bedside manner at the Academy. - Good organization and management skills, has keen sense of timing. - As per her physiology, she is an excellent climber, agile and has a extremely high tolerance for pain and discomfort. Weaknesses: - M'Razza has some issues with conflict, even after graduation from the Academy, needs to steel herself to raise a complaint or issue with a flaw she sees in a superior officer's work or issues stemming from the medical bay's organization. - Suffers from mild Thalassophobia, or water she can't see the bottom of. | Hobbies & Interests | - Soccer/Football. M'Razza served as the goalkeeper for the Kobayashi Marus, a women's Starfleet Academy football team, and proudly displays her California Cup pennant in her quarters. - Cooking. She mostly cooks Caitian and Human cultural staples, and food she's tried and picked up in the Academy, she uses the kitchen to unwind and to socialize with new and old colleagues. - Artwork and sketching, adopted from her Academy roommate and stepdad, she's a novice at the skill, but it's another way to destress. - M'Razza enjoys holodeck programs of team sports and athletic pursuits like rock climbing. She also enjoys literature, mostly in the form of non-fictional historical works. |
History
| Personal History | Born on Cait to esteemed historian and author M'Narr and then-local police inspector V'Ral, M'Razza was an only child of parents who divorced early in her life. M'Narr remained on Cait, while M'Razza and her mother moved to San Francisco when she was six. V'Ral remarried two years later to David Lawson, a local artist. M'Razza's new step-sister Amanda helped draw her out of her shell and acclimate to life on Earth. M'Razza spent much of her young life as a typical young person would - Friends, sports, pursuing interests, and finding a place for herself in the world. At the age of 18, M'Razza decided to join Starfleet Academy for an advanced education. She joined the Academy football team, social clubs, and eventually, found an interest in the medical path, changing her focus away from xenoanthropology to medicine after meeting with Dr. Alcan Hring, who impressed upon the cadet the good she could do working to improve the lives of those who need help the most. In sports, the Kobayashi Marus won the California Cup tournament in her junior Year, with her serving as the goaltender, and in her studies, she received glowing marks for her work ethic and bedside manner as a trainee nurse. During the final year of her academy, M'Razza sent communications to Cait, and reconnected with her father and her extended family. Though serious issues still exist between her birth parents, both families were able to build a bridge for M'Razza's sake. Accepted as a child of two different worlds, M'Razza graduated in 2401 and was posted to the USS Sojourner in the Delta Quadrant. |
